If you decided to study in Russian universities our office would like to remind you:
The time of application for courses in Russian universities
It is recommended to send all the documents not later than 3 months before the beginning of the term. The year consists of two semesters: autumn semester (01.09-24.01) and spring semester (07.02-30.06). The tuition for the degree of Bachelor (BSc/BA) lasts 8 semesters; Master (MSc/MA) - 4 semesters; Doctor (PhD) - 6 semesters. The international applicants are supposed to take a test in Russian language.
Visa
Usually to get an official invitation for coming to Russia the applicant must send the documents listed below to the International Office of the university by post or fax not later than three months before classes start:
1) filled in application forms;
2) copy of the first two pages of passport of the applicant
Once the documents are received and considered, the university will send the applicant an official invitation.
The list of the documents and time of application we wrote about is common, but not specified for each univercity. For more detailed information contact the international offices of the university.
Please check the list of documents you need to present to appy for Study visa at our Office:
1. Passport or other travel document original and copy, which should be valid for a minimum of 1,5 year after visa's expiration date and has at least 2 blank pages which don't need to be consecutive.
If you are accompanied by a child, who does not have his/her own passport, he/she should be included in one of the parents' passport. If a child is 4 years old or senior the parents' passport should have his/her photograph.
2. Printed and signed online application form;
3. One recent passport size photo (3,5x4,5 cm.), which must be glued to the indicated space on the form;
4. ID copy;
5. Invitation or electronic invitation issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry or by the General Administration for Migration Issues of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (ex. Federal Migration Service);
6. Hardcopy of HIV Test (AIDS) Certificate in english. Please note that the validity of this document is three months;
7. Insurance (only for EU and Israel citizens).
Please note that the invitation must contain: official seal and legal address of the host institution, document registration number and date of registration, signature and name of the official authorized to invite foreigners to Russia, purpose of visit, dates of stay, names of persons invited.

We would like to remind you that after receiving your passport with visa please check it for mistakes (passport number, date of birth, validity) and, if necessary, return it to the Consular Section for corrections.

UPON, not before going to Russia, international students sign the contract that states specialty, duration of studies, tuition fee. For contract on studies to be signed the applicant should submit the documents listed below to the International Office of the university:
1) certificates and diplomas stating your qualification and their notary attested translation in Russian:
for Bachelor Programme (BS?BA): High School/College certificate
for Master Programme (MS?MA): Bachelor or Specialist Diploma
for Doctoral Studies (PhD): Master or Specialist Diploma
2) Transcripts
3) Medical Certificate including AIDS test
4) Medical Insurance Policy.
The documents on academic background and medical certificates should be translated into Russian and attested by the Russian Embassy, Consulate general or Representative office where the documents are issued or by the Embassy, Consulate general or Representative office of the country of applicant or by notary in Russia.
Usually upon the arrival You will be invited for an interview to check the actual level of Your russian.
